They have an area called the Sandlot where there are several activities for the kids. One of them was a pitching machine and Austin got some coaching from one of the DBacks staff. What made it fun is the laid back atmosphere and they actually run fans/air conditioning. When it cools off enough they slide the roof open. It was cool when they slid open the roof.
At the end of the game Austin and his buddy went down to the DBacks dugout and stayed until they were both given game balls. It took them probably 2o minutes, but their determination to get a ball paid off. It also let the traffic slow down and we had a easy drive home.

You never mentioned going to the game. Looks like you had a good time. Sorry Mikel you didn't get to go. Maybe next time is you stay out of trouble with your Dad. Love you all.

If that game was this year, of course Barry wasn't playing. No one picked up his contract since the 2007 season. But it looks like you guys had fun. I loved going to Diamondbacks games when Todd and Michele lived there, the stadium was always fun!
