This has been the craziest spring break vacation we have ever encountered. On Saturday morning we woke up early and took off for Utah. With the exception of Allyson getting car sick (thank heaven for gallon zip lock bags) and driving through snow we had an uneventful drive. On Sunday we relaxed and hung out with family.
Then it began, Austin had a stomach ache that started around 10pm and it would not go away. At 12:30am we took him to the emergency room where they took all sorts of vitals, samples, etc. They decided to do an ultra sound to see if he had appendicitis and/or gall bladder issues. The doctor came in and confirmed he in deed had appendicitis and recommended surgery asap. So they took him in to operate at 6am. He stayed in the hospital overnight and then we got to check him out at 11am Tuesday morning.
Austin is quite a trooper. He is already up and about although we are limiting his activities. He is upset that he cannot go riding his motorcycle for 3 weeks. That is how our spring break has began. It is half over, so hopefully the second half will go smoother than the first half. We will add pictures of Austin when we get home and can download them.

Crazy is right, but you owe your uncle Todd a motorcycle race if your up to it when we come down, and Chris need you to go ride with him as well.
We love you
I am so glad Austin is ok. Ethan's Appendix burst when he was 5 too but we did not catch it until 10 days after, he was in an out of hospital all summer long because of it. I am so glad you caught it right away. Hopefully the rest of the week is uneventful. Big Hugs....
Oh no! I hope everything is all right! What a time to have your appendix burst! Tell him to get better soon!
You know it all would've worked out better if you took me with you back to AZ! Hope you're hanging in there!
